The medium of instruction is English. Mathematics, Science and Social Science are taught through English language. The Second Language is either Tamil or Hindi.

School Library & Reading Room
Each child is expected to make full use of the school library and the reading room. Children shall observe the rules of the Library/Reading Room as enforced from time to time.
Affiliation
The School is applied for the affiliation to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
Academic Year
The Academic year is from April to March.
The Following Scheme is followed for classes I to VIII: The CCE in classes I to VIII shall spread over two terms during one academic session.
1. First Term includes Formative Assessment I, Formative Assessment II and Summative Assessment I (Pen Paper Test). The duration of the First Term is from April to September in an academic session.
2. Second Term includes Formative Assessment III, Formative Assessment IV and Summative
Assessment II (Pen Paper Test). The duration of the Second Term is from October to
March in an academic session.
Rules & regulations
General
1. This diary should be handled with care and brought to school daily. The diary should be treated as the basic means of daily communication between the teachers and the parents/guardians. Therefore, parents/guardians are requested to check regularly entries made therein.
2. Students are required to ensure regularity and punctuality. Absentees andlate comers shall getthe"Absence Record" and the "Late Attendance Record" in diary, filled and should be duly signed by their parents / guardians.
Instructions for students
1. The school uniform shall be worn on all working days except Mondays, Wednesdays, wherein the sports uniform shall be worn on these days. Students with improper uniform will not be allowed in class. Students shall be clean and tidy at all times in the school premises.
2. All students are required to be in the school campus by 8.30 a.m. and the gates shall be closed sharply at 8 45 a.m.
3. English is encouraged to be spoken in the school premises. Politeness and courtesy of speech and conduct are expected from the students at all times.
4. Every student shall take part in Sports, games and co/extra-curricular activities organized by the school.
5. No student suffering from any contagious or infectious disease shall bellowed to attend the school.
6. School buildings, equipment, furniture and other properties of the school must be handled with care. Penalty for damages caused may be imposed at the discretion of the Principal. Penalties shall be recovered from the respective students' guardians/parents immediately there after the incident has been noted.
7. Cash exceeding Rs. 10/- shall not be brought to the school by students, except for payments of dues to the school. Valuables such as ornaments/ jewellery shall not be brought to the school. Students are forbidden from bringing private toys, transistors, mobile phones, electronic devices, etc., to the school, which, if found in the school premises are liable to be confiscated.
Students are forbidden from coming to school on motor cycle. But are permitted to come on their cycles.
Instructions for teachers
1. No private tuition by members of the school staff for any student of Peter International School is permitted without the approval of the Principal.
2. Teachers may communicate with the parents through the medium of the diary. No other notes shall be sent to the parents / guardians by the teachers. No teacher shall make any recommendation for tuition, except by the Principal.
For attention of parents/ guardians
1. Information required, if any may be sought from the school office /Principal, and not from any other member of the staff. Parents/ Guardians are requested not to meet the students or the teachers during the class hours, except with the permission of the Principal. Complaints of any may be lodged only with the Principal.
2. Parents are requested to co-operate with the efforts of the school in enforcing regularity, punctuality and discipline, and to take interest in their children's daily work/assignments. Report sent to the parents/guardians periodically should be taken note of, signed and returned. Their efforts to improve the performance of their children in weak subjects are essential.
3. Parents are requested to co-operate with the efforts of the school for the smooth functioning of the school. Parents indulging in any anti-school activities shall lead to the dismissal of their ward/child with immediate effect.
4. Any change of residential address or phone number should be communicated on occurrence to the school office in writing.
Payment of fees
1. Date for payment of school fees for the academic year will be intimated to students by a separate communication.
2. Conveyance Charges (Optional) for use of School Bus/ Van have to be paid for the whole year in advance by the users.
FEES ONCEPAID WILL NOT BE REFUNDED
Leave of absence
1. Leave of absence will be granted only on written application from the parents or guardian. In case of long absence on grounds of illness, a medical certificate will have to be produced. If the attendance is less than the prescribed percentage i.e. 75% of the total working days the student will not be allowed to appear for the Annual Examination.
2. Students must be present in the school on the reopening day of each term and also on the last day of each term before the terminal holidays begin.
3. Students absent for examinations without unavoidable reasons will not bepromoted.
